A is for Accepting All Bodies
First-of-its-kind, culturally sensitive body empowerment curriculum addressing the risk of eating disorder/disordered eating/body dysmorphia in AANHPI adolescents
We are proud to share that “Accepting All Bodies” is supported by the Patrick & Lily Okura Research Grant on Asian Pacific American Mental Health, awarded through the UCLA Asian American Studies Center.
Curriculum Structure: The program features an 8-lesson series, carefully designed with weight neutral approach Through engaging activities and group discussions, adolescents will build a greater understanding of their wellbeing and how diversity, culture, and life experiences impact their health.
Join Us In Making a Difference: We are actively seeking partnerships with community centers and organizations that share our mission to empower and uplift youth.
Expanding into Medical Education
Brick Builders Grant
We’re excited to announce that Accepting All Bodies will also become part of medical school curricula. Through the USLME Brick Builder Grant, our program will equip future healthcare professionals to recognize body dysmorphia in diverse populations—addressing a significant gap, as this condition has historically been studied primarily in White, Caucasian, female-identifying individuals.
By integrating culturally inclusive education into medical training, we aim to foster more equitable care for all patients.
